BMC Extension of Installment Facility for Building Permission Premiums 2028

This circular formalizes the extension of the installment facility for the payment of various fees, charges, deposits, and premiums required for the grant of IOD and CC in building permissions. Based on the sanction from the Municipal Commissioner, the facility is now extended for an additional three years, covering the period from 4 September 2025 to 3 September 2028. While the National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO) requested a reduction in interest rates, the BMC has maintained the interest rate at 12% per annum on reducing balances for these installments. This extension aims to support the construction sector by providing liquidity, though it remains subject to strict compliance; failure to pay installments will result in the re-issuance of stop-work notices.

Interest Rate and Default Conditions

The interest rate for the installment facility remains at 12% per annum on a reducing balance. In case of default, the amount must be paid in eight equal installments over two years with a 12% interest rate, and a registered undertaking is required before withdrawing any stop-work action.
